News about Dr Clyde Hertzman

We are all shocked and terribly saddened with the very sad news about Dr  Clyde Hertzman who died suddenly in London, England while visiting friends. It all happened very suddenly. Our Including All Children and Families Project was housed at HELP between 2009-2010 and so was the previous Social Inclusion Project (2004-2008); in our visits to rural and remote communities in BC for our collaborative research with the Including All Children and Families Project, we followed the consultative model and the path that Clyde had originally started with the EDI mapping project and that families and community agencies throughout BC have welcome. To this -and much more- we are greatly indebted to Clyde’s work.

We join the HELP faculty and staff in their sorrow with Clyde’s sudden disappearance; please see their announcement also expressing their condolences for Clyde’s family
